QUETTA: Security forces foiled an attack on a checkpost near Kuchlak Bypass in Balochistan after a swift response, officials said on Tuesday.
Police said unidentified armed men targeted the security checkpost, triggering an intense exchange of fire.
Security forces immediately returned fire, killing two attackers on the spot.
Two security personnel were injured in the exchange of fire and were shifted for medical treatment, officials said.
Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to clear the surroundings.
Authorities said the situation has been brought under control.
