PTI Distances Itself from Imran Khan's Sister's Remarks

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said on Tuesday that remarks made by Noreen Niazi, sister of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan, regarding the “Battle of Truth” do not represent the party’s official position.

Speaking to reporters in Islamabad, Gohar said the interview in question was recorded around three months ago.

“According to my information, the interview is three months old,” he said, adding that controversial statements should not be aired on mainstream media.

He said Noreen Niazi’s comments reflected her personal views and should not be regarded as PTI policy.

Gohar said Pakistan’s victory in the “Battle of Truth” was a blessing from God.

“The entire world witnessed Pakistan’s success in the Battle of Truth, and every Pakistani is proud of that achievement,” he said.
