ISLAMABAD: Rains continue across various cities in Punjab, including Lahore, while intermittent showers in the twin cities have made the weather pleasant, with the Meteorological Department predicting intermittent thunderstorms and rain for the coming week.
Strong winds in Lahore are expected to cause a further drop in temperature, with the current temperature recorded at 27 degrees Celsius and a maximum expected to reach 32 degrees Celsius.
In anticipation of flooding in streams during heavy downpours, the PDMA has issued a letter to the Deputy Commissioner instructing district administration institutions to remain on high alert, while advising citizens to stay away from rainwater drains, rivers, electricity poles, and dilapidated buildings.
