SRINAGAR: Posters expressing support for Pakistan were reported to have appeared in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), amid claims of appreciation for Pakistan’s diplomatic role in easing regional tensions.
According to reports, posters were displayed in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, an area under Indian administration.
The posters reportedly praised Pakistan’s leadership for diplomatic efforts linked to the Iran–United States ceasefire and broader regional de-escalation.
Images circulating on social media showed the Pakistani flag alongside the posters. The material also carried messages attributed to the Kashmir Youth Movement, according to Indian media reports.
Indian media outlet NDTV reported that local police had registered a case in connection with the posters.
The posters were reported to have referenced Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan’s military leadership, including Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, in relation to diplomatic developments involving the ceasefire.
Security analysts cited by local narratives said that despite strict security measures, political sentiment in the IIOJK continues to reflect pro-Pakistan expressions.
Pakistan’s role in regional diplomacy has been highlighted in official statements as contributing to stability, according to government-linked commentary.
