ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has directed his party to ignore a statement made by Mohsin Naqvi.
According to a report by The News investigation editor Ansar Abbasi, Nawaz Sharif emphasized that unity between the government and state institutions is an urgent necessity in the current climate.
Nawaz Sharif made it clear to party leaders that, given the economic, political, and security challenges facing the country, any situation that creates an impression of discord between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir must be avoided.
According to sources, senior PML-N leadership conveyed their reservations to Nawaz Sharif regarding Mohsin Naqvi’s statement concerning the system being destroyed.
In response, Nawaz Sharif instructed party leaders to exercise restraint, stating that national interest demands maintaining harmony among state institutions.
