Iran-US Next Round of Talks Set for July 11 in Pakistan

JD Vance-led US delegation lands in Islamabad for Ceasefire Talks

DUBAI: The next round of talks between Iran and the United States will begin in Pakistan on July 11, following the completion of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s funeral rites, according to Saudi media Al-Arabiya.

The report stated that the upcoming negotiations are likely to cover sanctions on Iran, the release of Tehran’s frozen assets, and its nuclear program.

Direct talks between the two countries were held in Doha on Wednesday, which US President Donald Trump described as “constructive.” However, Al-Arabiya reported that while Iran claimed it had secured an agreement to restore billions of dollars in frozen assets during the Doha round, Washington denied the Iranian assertion.

The talks will resume after Khamenei’s funeral ceremonies conclude on July 9.
