Balochistan on Path to Development Under Bugti’s Leadership : Babar Yousefzai

Babar Yousafzai Assures Acceptance of Doctors' Demands

QUETTA : Babar Yousafzai, Assistant to the Interior Minister of Balochistan, has declared that the province is steadily advancing on the path of development under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, with practical measures being taken to secure a bright future for the youth.

In a statement issued on Sunday ,Yousafzai emphasized that the provincial government, under the dynamic and people-friendly leadership of Chief Minister Bugti, is moving toward new heights of prosperity. He noted that rather than resting on mere claims, the government has taken concrete steps to provide relief to the masses, create opportunities for young people, and chart a clear direction for the province’s growth.

Calling the youth of Balochistan the “most valuable asset” of the province, Chief Minister Bugti has placed special emphasis on their educational future, Yousafzai said. As part of this vision, merit-based scholarships are being offered to talented students from Balochistan to study at the world’s finest universities. He highlighted that today, children from the province are pursuing their education at prestigious institutions such as Oxford and Harvard — a practical testament to the Chief Minister’s youth-friendly policies and educational foresight.

Beyond academics, the government is also creating employment and training opportunities in cutting-edge fields, including artificial intelligence (AI), to equip the youth with skills relevant to the modern era. At the same time, a culture of merit is being actively promoted, enabling young people to advance based on their own ability and hard work rather than recommendation or nepotism.

Yousafzai further stated that development projects are not being limited to major cities. The Balochistan government aims to extend the development process to remote areas and the doorsteps of ordinary citizens. Practical progress is underway on projects related to roads, education, clean drinking water, electricity, and other essential infrastructure, ensuring that the people of Balochistan receive their basic rights and facilities closer to home.

Significant strides are also being taken in the health sector, he added. Steps are being implemented to provide modern medical facilities, improve the overall health system, and deliver quality treatment to the public. The establishment of two modern cardiology hospitals in Balochistan is part of this people-friendly vision, aimed at reducing the need for residents to travel to other provinces for critical heart care.

According to Yousafzai, a development and administrative culture centered on the common man, youth empowerment, merit, and public service is being actively promoted under Chief Minister Bugti’s leadership. The government’s top priority, he stressed, is to ensure that the province’s resources reach its people, making every citizen feel part of the development process.
