Gohar Rejects Rumours of Imran’s Remarks Against Sohail Afridi

Barrister Gohar Pays Tribute After 133 Terrorists Killed in Balochistan Op

ISLAMABAD :  Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has categorically denied reports that party founder Imran Khan made critical remarks against Sohail Afridi or the party leadership during his recent meeting with his sister Noreen Niazi at Adiala Jail.

Addressing the media, Barrister Gohar clarified that all such claims are baseless and fabricated. He stated that after the meeting, Noreen Niazi was contacted via phone, but she did not discuss the details or circumstances of the interaction. “Noreen Niazi had said she would not speak outside,” he added.

The PTI chairman expressed concern over what he termed a campaign of misinformation surrounding the August 18 meeting. “The PTI founder did not speak against Sohail Afridi or the leadership. Fabricated news is being spread about this meeting,” Barrister Gohar asserted.

He further shared that Noreen Niazi was happy after meeting her brother, though he noted that some aspects of the conversation cannot be disclosed publicly.

It is pertinent to mention that Noreen Niazi was granted permission to meet Imran Khan at Adiala Jail on August 18. The meeting had sparked widespread speculation, prompting the party leadership to issue this clarification.
