ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Army spokesperson, Lieutenant General Chaudhry Ahmed Sharif, stated that three major terrorist incidents occurred over the past three days.
Briefing on the security situation in Balochistan, the DG ISPR noted that the Fitna al-Khawarij targeted innocent civilians near the Mangi Pumping Station. Additionally, a police check post was attacked in Ziarat.
During the initial operation, 9 police personnel were martyred, while 15 terrorists were eliminated. As security forces tightened the cordon, the retreating terrorists martyred another 18 police officers. All police personnel martyred in Ziarat were locals.
The DG ISPR concluded that a total of 42 security personnel, including 27 police officers, embraced martyrdom in these attacks, while 54 Khariji terrorists were killed.
