PCB Confirms Officials, Venues for Pakistan-Australia ODI Series

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the match officials for the upcoming three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Australia, scheduled from May 30 to June 4 in Rawalpindi and Lahore, officials said on Tuesday.

Former Sri Lanka Test cricketer Graeme Labrooy will serve as match referee for all three matches and will lead the playing control team throughout the series.

Labrooy played nine Tests and 44 ODIs for Sri Lanka between 1986 and 1992.

The PCB said the elite panel of ICC umpires will officiate the series. Pakistan’s Ahsan Raza, England’s Richard Kettleborough, and Sri Lanka’s Kumar Dharmasena will serve as on-field umpires.

In the first ODI on May 30 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Dharmasena will stand on field alongside Pakistan’s Asif Yaqoob. Richard Kettleborough will act as third umpire, while Faisal Khan Aafreedi will serve as fourth umpire.

In the second ODI on June 2 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Kettleborough and Faisal Khan Aafreedi will officiate as on-field umpires. Dharmasena will serve as third umpire, while Asif Yaqoob will act as fourth umpire.

In the third ODI on June 4 at the same venue, Dharmasena and Ahsan Raza will serve as on-field umpires. Kettleborough will act as third umpire, while Pakistan’s Nasir Hussain will be fourth umpire.

The PCB confirmed that Grame Labrooy will oversee all matches as match referee.
