ISLAMABAD: The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) will meet on Tuesday to review the transfer of five judges of the Islamabad High Court.
Chief Justice Yahya Afridi will preside over the session.
The commission will review the transfers of Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, Justice Babar Sattar, Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro, Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz, and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir.
The agenda includes Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani’s transfer to the Lahore High Court and Justice Babar Sattar’s transfer to the Peshawar High Court.
The commission will also consider the transfer of Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz and Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro to the Sindh High Court, and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir’s transfer to the Balochistan High Court.
Chief Justice Yahya Afridi had earlier rejected a request to convene a routine meeting on the matter. He later called the meeting after five members of the commission submitted a requisition to review the transfer proposals.
