KARACHI: Gold prices were increased in both global and domestic markets after a five-day pause, market data showed on Saturday.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold rose by $23 per ounce. The new global rate was recorded at $4,708 per ounce.
In local markets, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by 2,300 rupees. The new rate was reported at 493,162 rupees per tola.
The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by 1,971 rupees. It was recorded at 422,806 rupees per 10 grams.
Silver prices also moved higher in the domestic market. The per tola rate increased by 92 rupees to 8,049 rupees.
The price of 10 grams of silver rose by 79 rupees and was recorded at 6,900 rupees.
Market fluctuations were seen after global bullion movements influenced local pricing trends.
