KOCHI: In Kochi, a shocking incident has come to light in which a drunken man raped a college physics professor after she visited his house to complain about his son’s misconduct.
According to reports, Lalita Deshmukh, a professor at a local college, went to the residence of student Vinesh in a posh area of Kochi to discuss his repeated misbehavior.
Vinesh’s father, Suresh, was heavily intoxicated at the time. Instead of listening to the complaint, Suresh allegedly turned aggressive, argued with the professor, and threatened her.
When Professor Lalita warned him that she would file a police complaint against both father and son, Suresh allegedly assaulted and raped her.
The victim’s family later registered a case at the local police station. Police have initiated action based on the medical report and are searching for the accused.
Fellow students revealed that Vinesh had a history of misconduct — he frequently came to class drunk, misbehaved with female students, and was disrespectful toward teachers.
Professor Lalita had gone to his father to complain about this behavior.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage and anger in the area.
