PM Shehbaz Lands in Doha, Receives Guard of Honour

DOHA: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Doha on an official visit to Qatar on Thursday, where he was received with full honours, a statment, released from the Prime Minister’s House, read.

Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi welcomed the prime minister and the Pakistani delegation upon arrival.

A smartly turned-out contingent of the Qatar Armed Forces presented a guard of honour to the visiting dignitary.

The airport and parts of Doha city were decorated with Pakistani flags ahead of the prime minister’s visit.

During the visit, the prime minister will hold a bilateral meeting with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Both leaders will discuss bilateral relations as well as Pakistan’s efforts for regional and global peace.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, and Prime Minister’s spokesperson for international media Musaddiq Malik accompanied the prime minister on the visit.
