QUETTA: Security forces have successfully foiled a coordinated attack of militants of the Indian proxies-Fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan- on a customs checkpost at Ziarat Cross in Balochistan, security sources said.

As per the reports, militants linked to Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan jointly attempted to attack the check post, but security personnel stationed at the checkpost promptly reacted and resisted the assault and forced the attackers to flee.

Security personnel inflicted heavy losses on the militants during the exchange of fire, according to the sources.

A fire also broke out at a customs warehouse during the firing. Authorities brought the blaze under control.

Additional security personnel reached the area after the attack. They launched a search and clearance operation to track down the fleeing militants.

The operation remains ongoing, the sources said.

Radd-ul-Fitna 3 Balochistan Operation

Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 is part of the ongoing counterterrorism campaign against India-sponsored terrorists of the Baloch Liberation Army and TTP networks in Balochistan.

It is pertinent to mention here that last month, security forces launched Operation Radd-ul-Fitna in response to a series of terrorist attacks by the Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khawarij in the province.

The operation, involving the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, police, intelligence agencies, and military helicopters, is primarily targeting the TTP, also known as Fitna al Khawarij and BLA (Fitna al Hindustan), a separatist group designated as a terrorist organisation by Pakistan, the United States, and the United Kingdom.  Security forces launched Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 last month in response to a series of terrorist attacks.

The campaign involves intelligence-based operations and targeted raids across Balochistan.
