Kidnapped Women, Child Rescued in Police Raid in Naseerabad

Two Police Officers Shot Dead in Lahore

QUETTA: In a coordinated operation, police from Dera Allahyar and Chhatar stations successfully rescued two abducted women and a young child in the Naseerabad region, officials confirmed on Thursday. However, no suspects were taken into custody during the raid.

According to police sources, the victims—identified as Zaheeran Shumaila and a minor boy, Rahim, both residents of Bhangar Colony in Dera Allahyar—were recovered from Sonwah, an area falling within the jurisdictional limits of Chhatar police station. The operation was launched after intelligence tips pinpointed the location where the trio had been held captive.

The women and the child had been reported missing sixteen days ago, prompting a search effort that culminated in the joint raid. Police stated that the rescue was executed without any exchange of fire, but the perpetrators managed to flee the scene before security forces could apprehend them.

While no arrests have been made so far, Dera Allahyar police have registered a case and are conducting further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the kidnapping. Authorities are now pursuing leads to track down the suspects involved.

The rescued individuals have been reunited with their families after preliminary medical check-ups, police added. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
