ISLAMABAD: The nation erupted in a spectacular display of patriotic zeal as Pakistan celebrated its Independence Day with fireworks, illuminations, and cultural events across all major cities, painting the country in vibrant shades of green and white.
In Lahore, the sky above Liberty Chowk and Minar-e-Pakistan was set ablaze with a magnificent fireworks show that drew thousands of cheering citizens. The iconic Minar-e-Pakistan was beautifully adorned with green lights, while a mega musical concert at Liberty Chowk kept the crowd enthralled late into the night. A stunning light and projection show at Town Hall Lahore added to the city’s festive charm. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Central Muslim League Lahore organized a torch-bearing freedom caravan on Mall Road, with participants chanting “Pakistan Zindabad” as the rally moved through the historic thoroughfare.
