ISLAMABAD: The next round of negotiations between Iran and the United States is scheduled to begin in Pakistan on July 11, according to a report by Saudi media outlet Al Arabiya.
This upcoming session will commence following the completion of the funeral rites for Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and is expected to address critical issues between the two nations.
The discussions will primarily focus on the lifting of sanctions imposed on Iran, the unfreezing of Iranian financial assets, and matters concerning the Iranian nuclear program.
According to Al Arabiya, Iran and the US recently held indirect talks in Doha, Qatar, which US President Donald Trump characterized as constructive.
Following those Doha discussions, Iran claimed that an agreement had been reached to unfreeze several billion dollars of its assets; however, the United States subsequently denied those claims.
