Flour Prices Surge Across Pakistan, Hitting Up To PKR 2,900

ISLAMABAD: Flour prices in Pakistan have experienced a further hike, with the maximum price of a 20kg flour bag reaching up to PKR 2,900.

According to official documents from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, residents of Karachi are currently purchasing the most expensive flour in the country, where a 20kg bag costs up to PKR 2,900.

Meanwhile, the price for the same quantity has reached PKR 2,800 in Islamabad, Quetta, and Khuzdar, and PKR 2,750 in Peshawar.

The official data further reveals that a 20kg flour bag is being sold for up to PKR 2,747 in Rawalpindi, PKR 2,740 in Hyderabad, and PKR 2,700 in Bannu.

In Sukkur, the price stands at PKR 2,560, followed by Larkana at PKR 2,500, Multan at PKR 2,420, and both Gujranwala and Bahawalpur at PKR 2,400.

Residents in Sialkot are paying up to PKR 2,333, while the price in Faisalabad has reached PKR 2,300.

The lowest maximum rates recorded by the bureau are in Lahore at PKR 2,250 and Sargodha at PKR 2,240.
