US Chargé d’Affaires to Pakistan, Natalie Baker, stated that bilateral trade between the United States and Pakistan has exceeded 8 billion dollars.
During her visit to Lahore on August 11 and 12, Baker met with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Advisor Ali Dar, business leaders, and technology experts.
According to the US Embassy, the discussions focused on advancing artificial intelligence (AI), higher education, innovation, trade, and investment.
Baker emphasized that the US is committed to collaborating with Pakistan’s private sector, universities, innovators, and government institutions.
Noting that Pakistan’s technology sector is expanding rapidly, she highlighted that both nations can enhance cooperation in trade, investment, emerging technologies, and AI, with significant opportunities in software, digital services, and artificial intelligence.
Reiterating the importance of strengthening bilateral trade relations, Baker confirmed that US-Pakistan trade crossed the 8 billion dollar mark in 2025.
She also noted that American educational expertise can create new opportunities for Pakistani students and further strengthen economic ties.
