BHOPAL: A controversial relationship between a private school teacher and a sixth-grade female student in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, has triggered widespread outrage on social media.
The incident involves a Social Science teacher named Sushant and a student, Sarika, whose growing proximity initially raised concerns within the school management.
The duo was frequently spotted together during lectures, break times, and after school hours.
When questioned by the Student Affairs Incharge, Mrs. Tiwari, the teacher dismissed the matter by claiming he was merely mentoring the student for an upcoming project.
Meanwhile, the student boldly rejected any interference, calling it a personal matter.
The situation escalated significantly when the student’s parents discovered inappropriate WhatsApp messages exchanged between the teacher and their daughter.
Following their formal complaint, the school administration immediately terminated the teacher’s employment.
Upon learning of his dismissal the next day, the student created a massive uproar in her classroom and demanded an audience with the principal.
During the meeting in the principal’s office, she became highly aggressive and threatened to end her life by jumping from the school balcony if the teacher was not reinstated immediately.
The principal urgently summoned her parents, but even in their presence, the student adamantly maintained her stance, claiming that they intended to marry and that society, law, and religion permitted them to do so.
Her parents eventually took her home by force.
Reflecting on the incident, the school principal emphasized that using force or strictness in such sensitive cases can yield dangerous outcomes, highlighting that these children require professional counseling rather than harsh disciplinary action.
