Islamabad Agreement Finalized, Peace Closer Than Ever: Shehbaz

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, has announced that a consensus has been reached on the final text of the landmark peace agreement between the United States and Iran. Describing the accord as imminent, the Prime Minister emphasized that regional peace has never been closer than it is today.

In a public message tagging both the American and Iranian presidents, Prime Minister Sharif stated that Pakistan is actively working alongside both nations to facilitate the upcoming phases of the agreement.

He also noted that the government remains fully vigilant regarding ongoing disinformation campaigns orchestrated by elements seeking to sabotage the peace process.

This development follows a recent statement by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who confirmed that progress on the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding is steadily advancing, while advising the media to refrain from premature speculation.

In a significant nod to the diplomatic momentum, U.S. President Donald Trump reshared the Iranian Foreign Minister‘s statement on Truth Social.
