KHARAN: In a decisive operation, security forces, backed by armed local tribals, dealt a heavy blow to Indian-sponsored terrorists of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in the Kharan district, thwarting their attempt to establish a blockade and sending several militants to hell.
Intelligence reports had picked up the movement of a group of terrorists affiliated with the Indian proxy “Fitna al-Hindustan”. The militants, reportedly attempting to enforce an “economic blockade” by blocking key routes and taking control of strategic locations, were met with a swift and overwhelming response.
Security forces, conducting an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Lajay area of Kharan, engaged the terrorists in a fierce exchange of fire. Local tribals, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the forces, played a crucial role in flushing out the militants and thwarting the cowardly blockade attempt. The combined action resulted in the elimination of multiple terrorists on the spot.
According to security sources, the neutralized terrorists were involved in a range of criminal activities, including extortion, kidnapping for ransom, targeted killings, and planning suicide attacks in Kharan and surrounding areas. A large cache of modern weapons, ammunition, and military equipment was recovered from their hideouts, along with vehicles and motorcycles
