Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central General Secretary Salman Akram Raja has stated that the time has come to address the disruptive elements within the party.
Speaking to a private TV channel, Salman Akram Raja described as completely false and baseless the allegations that party tickets were sold and contracts were awarded.
He said that some individuals did not want Sohail Afridi to become the Chief Minister.
He stated that since the time of the founding chairman’s cases, there have been directives for parliamentarians to contribute funds.
If they do not contribute, would union councils provide funds to run the party?
He added that it is a huge lie that he apologized to anyone. Salman Akram Raja mentioned that certain individuals are against him and Sohail Afridi.
He questioned why an attack was suddenly launched against them precisely when they spoke about launching a movement, noting that these matters and the reasons behind them are no secret to others either.
He stated that his utmost effort has been to keep matters within the party and practice forbearance, yet fabricated allegations were suddenly leveled and claims were made.
He claimed that the PTI founding chairman scolded Mishaal Yousafzai, warning her not to spread lies or use abusive language in the future.
Salman Akram Raja further claimed that the PTI founding chairman ordered Mishaal Yousafzai to be dismissed.
