President Zardari to Undertake Historic Visit to Kyrgyzstan Today

ASTANA: President Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Kyrgyzstan on Monday for a state visit at the invitation of President Sadyr Japarov, leading a high-level delegation aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office described the visit as the first by a Pakistani president to Kyrgyzstan in 21 years. It called the trip a historic milestone in relations between the two countries.

The visit follows President Japarov’s trip to Pakistan in December 2025. The Foreign Office said the exchange reflects growing high-level engagement between the two friendly nations.

During the visit, Zardari and Japarov will hold one-on-one talks followed by delegation-level discussions.

The two leaders will review the full spectrum of bilateral relations. They will also exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The talks will focus on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, mining, agriculture, textiles, the halal industry, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, the digital economy, education, tourism and people-to-people exchanges.

Zardari will also meet the speaker of the Kyrgyz parliament during his visit.
