ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have paid tribute to Pakistan’s security forces following successful counterterrorism operations in Quetta, Kech and Quetta West.
President Zardari praised the security forces for their operations against what he described as Indian-sponsored insurgents affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan in Quetta and Kech.
He said the elimination of the militants demonstrated the professional expertise and operational capabilities of the security forces.
President Zardari Pays Tribute to Martyred Subedar Muhammad Jameel
President Zardari also paid tribute to Subedar Muhammad Jameel, who was killed while defending the country during one of the operations.
He said the sacrifice of Subedar Muhammad Jameel was a symbol of the security forces’ determination to safeguard the country’s peace and security.

The president expressed his condolences and sympathy to the family of the martyred soldier, who hailed from Taunsa Sharif.
Shehbaz Sharif Pay Tribute to Martyrs and Security Forces
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also praised the security forces for their successful operation in Shaban, Quetta, where 13 militants were killed, according to the information provided.
The prime minister said the killing of six additional militants during intelligence-based operations in Kech and Quetta West reflected the effectiveness of the security forces’ strategy.
He said security forces and law-enforcement agencies would continue operations until terrorism was completely eliminated.
Prime Minister Shehbaz further stated that terrorism involving foreign sponsorship and support would be confronted and eliminated.
