QUETTA: Provincial Government Imposes Section 144 Across Balochistan has been imposed across the province for 30 days to maintain law and order and protect the lives and property of citizens, Balochistan Home Adviser Babar Yousafzai said.
The restrictions came into effect on September 23, 2026, and include a ban on the display of weapons, public gatherings and processions. The provincial government said the measures were introduced in view of public safety and the prevailing law-and-order situation.
Government Imposes Section 144 Across Balochistan,Bans Public Gatherings and Weapon Displays
Under the Section 144 in Balochistan notification, gatherings of five or more people at public places, sit-ins, rallies, demonstrations and similar activities have been prohibited for 30 days.
The government has also banned the display and exhibition of all types of weapons in public places.
According to Babar Yousafzai, individuals will also be prohibited from covering their faces, wearing masks or using any other means in public places that could make identification difficult.
The home adviser said violations of the restrictions would result in legal action under the relevant laws.

All law-enforcement agencies and district administrations have been directed to ensure strict implementation of the order across the province.
Babar Yousafzai said the measures aim to safeguard public peace, maintain law and order, and protect citizens’ lives and property.
