Pakistan Navy Successfully Tests Locally Developed Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Navy has successfully test-fired a locally developed anti-ship ballistic missile, demonstrating its growing defence capabilities, ISPR said in a statement on Thursday.

The missile, launched from a naval platform, struck a long-range target with high precision.

According to the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf witnessed the test along with scientists and engineers associated with the project.

The statement said the missile is equipped with an advanced guidance system and is capable of evading enemy defence mechanisms to accurately hit its target.

Officials described the successful test as a reflection of the Pakistan Navy’s technological expertise and progress toward defence self-reliance.

They said the development also underscores Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring maritime security and stability in the region.
