ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar Discusses Regional Situation and Makkah Defense Pact with Iranian Counterpart
Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss regional developments and the recently concluded Makkah Defense Pact between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye.
According to the Iranian news agency, both foreign ministers reviewed the changing regional situation and ongoing efforts to ensure peace and stability.
During the call, the Iranian Foreign Minister briefed his Pakistani counterpart on recent discussions with Oman concerning a new trade corridor in the Strait of Hormuz.
In return, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar briefed Abbas Araghchi on the Makkah Defense Pact, explaining that its primary objective is to foster strategic cooperation and promote regional peace and stability.
