QUETTA : Provincial Minister for Finance and Minerals Mir Shoaib Jan Noshirwani has announced that several road construction projects have been approved to connect various villages and rural areas of Kharan with blacktop roads, calling it a long-standing vision aimed at ending the region’s isolation.
Speaking about the development initiatives, the minister emphasized that his relationship with the people of Kharan transcends politics, rooted instead in compassion, trust, service, and blood ties. “The people of Kharan have always supported us. Our relationship with them is not merely political but a fundamental one based on compassion, trust, service and blood ties,” he stated.
Addressing the region’s progress, Noshirwani revealed that approximately 2,500 youth have been provided employment in Kharan district without any discrimination. He asserted that practical steps have been taken to eliminate the politics of prejudice and injustice, while various projects have been included in the master plan to transform Kharan into a developed, modern, and beautiful city.
The minister stressed that dilapidated roads have caused severe transportation difficulties for residents in remote areas for years. He noted that the completion of new road infrastructure is fundamental to the region’s development, as it will not only improve travel facilities but also help transport agricultural produce to markets, thereby increasing business activities and strengthening the local economy.
Beyond roads, Noshirwani confirmed that development projects in Kharan remain a top government priority. Special attention is being paid to education, health, and drinking water projects to overcome the severe water shortage in and around Kharan city. “Education and health are the foundation of the development of any society,” he said, adding that vigorous measures are being taken in these sectors.
