According to officials, the crackdown targeted a high-risk militant hideout, resulting in the elimination of three terrorists on-site, including an Afghan national identified as Syed Wali , originally from Kandahar, Afghanistan. Syed Wali could be the one among the suicide bombers attempting an entry in Pakistan.
The Exchange of fire took place from 25 to 30 minutes. As soon as the cross-firing halted, four dead bodies were found from the area.
Several other members of the terrorist network took advantage of the darkness to escape under heavy cover fire, prompting an extensive clearance and search operation across surrounding neighborhoods.
Security forces recovered a substantial cache of modern weaponry, sub-machine guns (SMGs), improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and explosive materials from the possession of the slain militants.
Investigators confirmed that the neutralized cell was actively involved in numerous heinous crimes, including targeted attacks on law enforcement personnel and innocent civilians.
