QUETTA: Three militants belonged to Finta al Hindustan were killed in an exchange of fire during a Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) operation in Bolan, Balochistan, sources said on Thursday.
The operation targeted militants hiding in the area, the sources said.
Acting on intelligence, personnel of CTD carried out intelligence-based operation in Bolan. A gunfight broke out between CTD personnel and the militants during the operation. The exchange of fire continued for some time.
The three militants were killed during the clash, according to the sources.
Meanwhile, CTD personnel have launched a search operation in the area. They are looking for other militants who may be hiding nearby.
The operation is ongoing, the sources said.
