ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that more than 25 terrorist organizations are currently active in Afghanistan.
During a meeting with his Russian counterpart at the UN Headquarters, Naqvi discussed the regional situation and bilateral cooperation, with both leaders emphasizing the need for a joint strategy against terrorist networks in Afghanistan.
He stressed that eliminating these extremist groups is a shared global responsibility.
Separately, the Interior Minister met with his Chinese counterpart to discuss boosting cooperation in border management, countering illegal immigration, and anti-narcotics efforts.
Naqvi called for choking terrorist funding at all levels, adding that Pakistan aims to further strengthen its security partnership with China.
He also highlighted that Pakistan has established a Special Protection Police Force specifically to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens in the country.
