MASTUNG: Two young cricketers were shot dead by unidentified assailants during a match in the Mastung district of Balochistan.
According to the police, the incident took place at the Shamsabad Cross cricket ground, where gunmen opened fire, killing two players identified as Ayush and Sagar.
The attack triggered panic and chaos as players and spectators fled the scene to save their lives.
Law enforcement agencies and police rushed to the spot, cordoning off the area to collect evidence, while the bodies were shifted to the hospital for legal formalities.
The attackers managed to escape the scene.
Following the incident, the victims’ relatives blocked the Quetta-Karachi National Highway in protest, which was later reopened after successful negotiations with the district administration.
