KP Governor Slams PTI’s 14-Year Rule as ‘Disappointing

KP Governor condemns CM’s remarks against security forces

PESHAWAR :  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has sharply criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s 14-year rule in the province, terming its overall performance as “disappointing” while raising serious alarms over the worsening law and order situation.

Addressing a Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) convention, Governor Kundi did not hold back his concerns, stating that the provincial administration has failed to deliver on key governance fronts. “I am deeply concerned about the deteriorating law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he asserted, pointing to rising insecurity that has plagued various districts.

The Governor also took issue with the provincial government’s approach to the annual budget, accusing the ruling party of sidelining stakeholders. “There was no consultation on the provincial budget and no communication with relevant quarters,” Kundi lamented, adding that he would be genuinely pleased if the provincial rulers would prioritize providing tangible relief to the masses through the fiscal plan.

In a confident prediction, Kundi declared that the PPP is poised for a resounding victory in the upcoming Azad Kashmir elections, vowing that his party would secure a “huge majority” in the region. He called on the provincial government to shift its focus toward public welfare rather than political grandstanding, as the people of KP continue to face economic and security challenges.

Political observers view the Governor’s remarks as a significant escalation of PPP’s criticism against the PTI-led provincial administration, setting the stage for heightened political tensions in the coming weeks.
