Kharan Traders End Sit-in After Police Assurance

KHARAN: In a significant development, DIG Police Rakhshan Range Abdul Hai Baloch arrived at the ongoing sit-in organized by the Anjuman Tajran Kharan at Shahwani Chowk on Wednesday and held successful negotiations with the business community. The talks resulted in the traders calling off their indefinite shutter-down strike.

The sit-in was attended by a large number of traders, including Sheikh Munir Ahmed, President of the Kharan Traders Association, and other officials. Addressing the gathering, Sheikh Munir Ahmed articulated the community’s grievances, stating that traders and businessmen have been severely impacted by a recent surge in daily incidents of theft and robbery.

He emphasized that the decision to go on strike was not born out of passion but compulsion. “The increasing frequency of theft and robbery has left the lives and property of both the public and the trading community insecure,” he stated. He issued a stern warning, saying that if the accused involved in these incidents are not arrested immediately, all traders of Kharan would be forced to stage a sit-in in front of the police station as a strong protest.

In response, DIG Abdul Hai Baloch carefully listened to the traders’ concerns and assured them of the police’s full commitment to ensuring their security. He vowed that all available resources would be utilized to bring the perpetrators to justice.

“The first priority of the police will be to arrest the accused involved in theft and robbery incidents as soon as possible and bring them to justice,” the DIG pledged. He further affirmed that the police force would devote all its energies to making Kharan a cradle of peace and protecting its citizens and traders.

Concluding his address, DIG Baloch appealed to the general public to fully cooperate with the police against criminal elements, stressing that timely action from the community is crucial to eradicating crime from society.
