RAWALPINDI/ISLAMABAD: The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been shifted from Adiala Jail to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad for a medical examination, according to sources.
The PTI founder was transported from the prison to the federal capital’s premier hospital under tight security. A team of expert doctors is set to conduct a thorough medical examination, sources said.
Special focus will be given to an examination of his eyes at PIMS. Further medical measures will be decided based on the doctors’ report following the completion of the examination.
Security officials made extraordinary arrangements for the transfer, with security also significantly tightened around the hospital premises.
After the medical examination is concluded, the PTI founder is likely to be shifted back to Adiala Jail.
