TEHRAN : Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, on an official visit to Iran, held a high-level meeting with Iranian President Masoud Peshkeshian, during which key matters of bilateral importance were discussed.
According to official sources, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and Interior Minister Mohsen Naqvi also attended the meeting alongside the President. The discussions focused on strengthening mutual cooperation, regional security, and other strategic issues of shared interest.
Earlier during the visit, the Field Marshal met with Lieutenant General Abdullahi, Commander of Iran’s Khatam Anbiya Central Headquarters, where both sides deliberated in detail on bilateral affairs and matters of mutual interest.
The Army Chief’s engagements in Iran continue with important meetings underway. Previously, Field Marshal Asim Munir also held a significant meeting with Iranian Speaker Baqir Qalibaf, during which the two leaders warmly shook hands and exchanged views on enhancing parliamentary and defence ties.
