QUETTA: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting of the Balochistan Provincial Apex Committee during his one-day visit to Quetta, before departing for Islamabad.
The crucial session was attended by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir alongside top military leadership.
The committee conducted a comprehensive review of the overall law and order situation in Balochistan.
Participants paid rich tributes to the sacrifices of the security forces and martyrs in maintaining peace.
The meeting was attended by Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, provincial ministers, and federal ministers including Ahsan Iqbal, Mohsin Naqvi, and Khawaja Asif. During the session, Inspector General of Balochistan Police, Muhammad Tahir, provided a detailed briefing on the security environment.
The Apex Committee resolved to accelerate operations against anti-state elements, emphasizing that disruptors of peace deserve no leniency.
The leadership reiterated that the sacrifices of the martyrs will guarantee lasting peace across Balochistan and the entire country.
