AI-Based Traffic Signals to Resolve Quetta's Traffic Issues

QUETTA: During a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister of Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti, it was decided to install modern AI-based traffic signals to permanently resolve the traffic issues in the provincial capital.

The meeting conducted a detailed review of strategies to effectively tackle the growing traffic pressure and implement a modern traffic management system in the city.

During the briefing, it was highlighted that the new AI-powered signals will improve traffic flow, reduce unnecessary waiting times at intersections, and provide better travel facilities for citizens.

Chief Minister Bugti directed the relevant authorities to ensure coordinated efforts for an efficient, sustainable, and modern traffic system.

He stated that ensuring citizen convenience and a safe traffic system is a top priority of the Balochistan government, adding that leveraging modern technology to solve traffic problems is a key part of the government’s reform agenda, with all available resources being utilized for this purpose.

The Chief Minister expressed his commitment to equipping Quetta with modern urban amenities, emphasizing that technology-driven decisions will provide the public with a safe, organized, and convenient commuting environment to ensure an efficient and reliable traffic system.
