ISLAMABAD: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti called on young people to reject terrorism and violence in all forms while urging them to use social media responsibly during a special interactive session with students participating in the ISPR Summer Camp 2026.
In this regard, the summer camp, organized by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), has brought together more than 4,000 students from across Pakistan as part of an initiative aimed at promoting national awareness, youth engagement, and constructive dialogue.
In this sense, Chief Minister Bugti emphasized that terrorism and violence cannot be justified under any circumstances.
He said the country’s youth have a crucial role to play in safeguarding peace, stability, and national unity by promoting positive values and responsible citizenship.
The chief minister mentioned the importance of informed and ethical use of digital platforms.
He noted that social media has become an influential tool for communication and information sharing, but warned that misleading information and propaganda have increasingly become major sources of influencing young minds.
He advised students to use social media with responsibility, critical thinking, and proper research before accepting or sharing information.
According to Bugti, developing awareness and verifying facts are essential in countering misinformation and preventing the spread of false narratives.
Meanwhile, the Balochistan chief minister said that the country’s global profile has strengthened due to the efforts of the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal.
He stated that Pakistan has emerged as a focus of international attention, reflecting what he described as the leadership’s efforts on various national and international fronts.
The ISPR Summer Camp 2026 has attracted participation from students representing different regions of the country, providing them with opportunities to engage in educational, cultural, and leadership-oriented activities.
The program is designed to encourage interaction among youth from diverse backgrounds while fostering a deeper understanding of national institutions, civic responsibility, and social harmony.
The chief minister also interacted with students during the session, encouraging them to pursue education, contribute positively to society, and remain vigilant against misinformation and extremist narratives.
