Pakistan Announces Commonwealth Games Squad

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has announced its 36-member contingent for the upcoming Commonwealth Games, comprising athletes and officials.

Major General Adil Rehmani has been appointed as the Chef de Mission.

The athletics team includes Arshad Nadeem, Faiqa Riaz, Ansar Abbas, Muhammad Akhtar, Muhammad Ismail, Muhammad Yasir, and Noreen Hussain.

Pakistan will compete in athletics, boxing, swimming, gymnastics, judo, and lawn bowls.

The boxing squad features Afzal Khan, Fatima Zahra, Malaika Zahid, Qudrat Ullah, and Thamama Rehman. Shehzad Ali will represent Pakistan in gymnastics, while Shah Hussain will compete in judo.

Maqsood, Waseem Khan, and Muhammad Ayub Qureshi will take part in lawn bowls.

In swimming, Hamza Asif, Hareem Malik, Jahan Ara Nabi, and Muhammad Ahmed Durrani will represent Pakistan.

The Commonwealth Games will be held in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 23 to August 2.
