ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced that Phase-II of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has officially commenced.
Speaking during a Senate session, the Foreign Minister highlighted CPEC as the flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
He reiterated that Pakistan remains fully committed to the One-China policy, while China consistently supports Pakistan’s sovereignty.
Furthermore, Dar shared that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit China from May 23 to May 26 to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations, during which he will also hold a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
