Citizen Hero Thwarts Suicide Attack Near Jand-Kohat Border

KOHAT: In a remarkable act of bravery near the Khushal Garh Bridge—the inter-provincial border between Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa—a courageous citizen sacrificed his life to protect the local population from a major catastrophe.

According to reports, a suspicious individual (identified as a Khariji terrorist) was moving through the fields near Jand and Kohat.

Liaquat, a resident of Mankor village in the Jand tehsil of Attock district, intercepted the man and questioned his identity.

Panicked by the confrontation, the suicide bomber detonated his explosives.

The blast resulted in the immediate martyrdom of the brave citizen, Liaquat, while the terrorist was killed on the spot. Liaquat was a retired employee of Pakistan Railways.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the terrorist’s target was a sensitive security check post located in the inter-provincial area.

However, Liaquat’s timely intervention prevented what could have been a massive loss of life. By standing firm against the enemy, he saved not only the personnel at the check post but also countless civilians in the vicinity.

Such incidents underscore the ongoing threat posed by Khwaraj (militants), who continue to target civilians and security forces.

However, this event serves as a testament to the fact that the Pakistani people, alongside the Armed Forces and Police, remain a solid wall against these nefarious designs.

The nation will never forget the sacrifice of Liaquat. Brave citizens like him are the true assets of Pakistan.
