KALAT: Security forces carried out an operation in Manguchar, targeting terrorists linked to the Baloch Liberation Army and its faction Fitna al Hindustan, officials said.
Based on intelligence reports, the forces killed four militants during the operation.
Authorities destroyed a compound used by the terrorists as a safe haven to prevent its future use for militant activities.
The operation follows a major step by the Balochistan government to intensify counterterrorism efforts. Authorities recently published the names, photographs, and details of 39 most-wanted terrorists in local newspapers.
A half-page advertisement in leading Quetta newspapers announced a total reward of PKR 138 crore (approximately $7 million) for information leading to their capture.
The publication included aliases, permanent and temporary addresses, and images of the suspects. Rewards range from PKR 5 lakh to PKR 25 crore (approximately $25,000–$1.25 million) for verified and actionable intelligence.
