ANF seized 25kg of crystal meth in Quetta

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) successfully carried out an operation in Quetta, arresting a group involved in synthetic drug trafficking and seizing 25 kilograms of methamphetamine (commonly known as Ice).

As per the special directives of the national and military leadership, the ANF’s ongoing campaign targets synthetic drug networks, particularly those engaged in the production and trafficking of methamphetamine.

These drugs pose a serious threat to the youth, society, and international markets.

In this intelligence-based operation, ANF dismantled a drug trafficking network led by Haji Rasheed from Chaghi and his brother Abdul Bari.

The group, along with their front man Abdul Baqi and several associates, was involved in producing methamphetamine in the Barabcha area and later distributing it across Chaghi and other parts of the country.

During successful raids in Quetta’s Airport Chowk and Western Bypass, ANF intercepted two vehicles and arrested seven individuals, including the ringleader, his accomplices, and several carriers.

Upon searching the vehicles, the team recovered 25 packets of methamphetamine, each weighing one kilogram, totaling 25 kilograms.

This seizure adds to a series of major drug busts reported in Balochistan in 2025, highlighting the province’s status as a critical transit route for narcotics.

ANF operations have intensified this year, resulting in multiple recoveries of large drug consignments aimed at both domestic and international markets.
