ISLAMABAD: Twenty-four educational institutions in different parts of the federal capital will remain closed from tomorrow due to security arrangements, while all other schools and colleges will operate as usual.
Media reports said the institutions being closed include schools and colleges located in several sectors of Islamabad.
Arrangements are being made to accommodate police personnel deployed from different provinces and areas at educational institutions in residential sectors F-6, F-7 and G-7.
Meanwhile, some educational institutions in Tarnol, Sangjani, Sihala and Rawal Dam areas will also remain closed from tomorrow, according to sources.
However, the Federal Ministry of Education has not yet issued a formal notification regarding the decision.
Relevant principals and staff have been informed about the closure, sources said.
Arrangements are also being made to accommodate the deployed personnel at the affected institutions.
All other educational institutions in Islamabad will remain open and continue normal academic activities.
