FIA arrests five human traffickers in Balochistan

QUETTA: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Balochistan has arrested five people involved in human trafficking and rescued four innocent citizens from their custody in operations carried out in Taftan and Loralai areas of Balochistan.

FIA spokesperson told local media that the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle targeted two groups involved in human smuggling in these operations.

He said that that the arrested suspects were identified as Rasool Bacha, Ameenullah, Hashmat Ali, Talib Hussain and Ihsanullah and the arrested suspects were part of a network that illegally sent people from Pakistan to Iran and Turkey. They used secret and illegal routes to smuggle people out of the country.

FIA said that the main suspects, Rasool Bacha, Ameenullah, and Hashmat Ali, were already on the wanted list of Pakistani embassies in Iran and Turkey. They had smuggled many people abroad illegally in the past.

The other two suspects, Talib Hussain and Ihsanullah, were helping people cross the border illegally. During a raid at their house, FIA rescued four citizens who were being prepared to be smuggled out.

The suspects were working for an agent named Faheem Gujar, who is currently based in Iran.

All arrested persons are now under investigation, and FIA is continuing efforts to arrest other members of the smuggling network.
