SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: Three people were martyred and 14 others injured in a roadside blast near a police mobile in Wana Bazaar on Thursday.

Sources said the blast occurred as a police vehicle was passing through the area. The explosion was powerful. It killed three civilians and injured 14 others. Police officials and civilians are among the injured.

Local residents rushed to the site after the blast. They immediately began rescue efforts. The injured were shifted to DHQ Hospital Wana. Several of them are in critical condition.

Police confirmed that the blast targeted their vehicle. A heavy police and FC contingent reached the site and cordoned off the area. The bomb disposal squad and police are collecting evidence.

This attack is part of a growing wave of terrorism. Over the past two years, such attacks have claimed hundreds of lives. Targeted killings and bomb blasts are rising steadily.

Security forces have launched search and clearance operations in Bajaur and North Waziristan. However, the overall security situation remains grim.
