Corps Commander Balochistan engages with university students

QUETTA: Corps Commander Balochistan, Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem, held a special interactive session with university students in Quetta to strengthen awareness and engagement on pressing national issues, particularly in the realm of internal and external security.

In this sense, the session aimed to bridge the gap between Pakistan’s armed forces and the youth, highlighting the vital role that students and educated young citizens play in preserving peace and national stability.

He underlined that the youth of Pakistan are the backbone of national resilience and unity, and their active participation in countering misinformation, radicalization, and destabilizing narratives is of utmost importance.

During the session, students were updated on recent developments related to national security, regional geopolitics, and the strategic environment surrounding Pakistan. 

The Corps Commander specifically mentioned Operation Bunyan-e-Marsous, a recently formulated response strategy aimed at strengthening the country’s defensive posture, particularly in light of emerging hostilities from neighboring India.

The students actively participated in the dialogue, raising questions on national unity, media narratives, and the role of youth in peace-building. They appreciated the Army’s efforts to involve the academic community in national discourse and emphasized the importance of holding such awareness sessions regularly.
